Pros

- flexibility to work wherever - great healthcare and leave benefits - 5 year sabbatical - great managers - decent compensation - stock awards are nice

Cons

- Exec leaders are a bit complacent with workplace culture and expect way more of people, but aren’t offering perks or even INBOUND travel to retain and fulfill talent like they used to. - 401k match and bonus structures aren’t that good. - Execs are stuck in their ways and make calls without talking to stakeholders most impacted.

Hey there-thanks for the feedback and for spending the last 5-7 years with us at HubSpot, we sincerely appreciate it! I think a lot of the feedback above directly ties to me and to Kate, so happy to address it head on to the extent that it's useful for context. It seems like the assumption is that we haven't spoken with employees on this stuff, and we have--at 7000+ employees, it just becomes really hard to navigate tradeoffs and we can't scale "everything for everyone" at our size. On INBOUND travel CELT leaders decided on the priority for their respective teams, and the driving factor was solving for our customers, both as guests of the event but also for uptime and security reasons as we launch and announce key features. For bonus, we added the manager level bonus a little over a year ago, so I don't think we'll be adding more levels until we see how that scales/works. For 401k you're absolutely right we are below market there--one of the things we did this year was interview employees to talk about some of the tradeoffs on benefits investments, so will happily share some of that context when we announce benefits for next year as it may help to share that we don't make these decisions in a vacuum. I hear you that these tradeoffs are not always easy, but rest assured they are not ones we take lightly or without employee feedback. I hope that helps, thanks for making the time to write a review and share feedback! -Katie

Hi there, thanks for the feedback--would love to understand the things going on aside from doing your role if you're open to sharing, but totally get it if you aren't. -Katie

Good but work to be done

Pros

A good name and reputation. Outstanding growth. Great culture. Compensation is competitive. Benefits are top. Commitment to DI&B and remote/hybrid.

Cons

Resistance to new approaches from recent hires with outside perspectives. It takes way too long to sell new approaches (if you can) which are basic/101 industry practices. Scalability is a talk track with resistance to change. A focus around how the product can change the world when it is simply marketing/CRM software. Requires a more well rounded DI&B commitment (e.g. age.). One still has to fit the stereotypical model, not individual gifts and idosyracies to succeed.
