Pros

Your experience can be whatever effort you want to put in. You know people & bosses by name, and not from a giant faceless conglomorate overlord. There's a cafeteria, so there's that.

Cons

It's very old school, and pay isn't great. It can be hard to challenge the status quo, and changes come very slowly.
