If your family then you are going to do well.

Cons

If your family then you are good to go. Family in management positions whether they have experience or not! The mom is the CNO, dad is night house supervisor, son is day shift supervisor and his wife works there as a dayshift nurse. Is that resonable or fair to other employees. Unit managers are a joke!

Pros

Better MA pay than offered elsewhere in Columbus

Cons

Sexual harassment is rampant. Countless women have had to quit after working for many of the doctors because of inappropriate touching, flirting, cash offers for “special needs”, etc. The doctor I worked for said he’d pay me to fly to Aruba with one of his “VIP” patients. It’s all normal stuff there. You can either learn to go with it, just to pay your bills or complain. But if you go to HR, be prepared to be fired.

Please know, if an allegation such as this is received in HR, it is taken seriously and investigated swiftly/appropriately. Hughston has a zero tolerance policy regarding Harassment and Sexual Harassment. Employees are trained on this topic at hire and annually thereafter as a constant reminder. Hughston also maintains strict adherence to its non-retaliation policy, which is also “zero tolerance”. Employees are not retaliated against at Hughston for making a complaint or participating in a Company investigation. Our culture is one built on mutual respect and courtesy to all employees, physicians, patients and visitors.
