Pros

Decent pay, expenses, travel, team

Cons

Human Interest recently laid off a chunk of staff overnight. Some presidents club qualifiers. There was no warning to management or employees. I have seen 6 people get fired over the last 9 months just on my team alone. Top leadership has left running due to the CFO, Rakesh. If you have any reason to work with him directly, run. It’s toxic and fast pace. My direct RDs went above and beyond to help and try to make things work. They will not give you time to ramp and expect you to be selling over quota from day 1. There’s mix signals on what your quota actually is and where you need to be. Be ready for constant change. New managers and team members. This company is going downhill fast.

Pros

Co-workers that I enjoyed working with, working remotely,

Cons

My manager had her favorites and protected those people, to the detriment of the team as we had to constantly adapt to the manager not knowing how to utilize their team to handle different projects. We were all over the place without any real focus. I was expecting a lot more stability with the team I was hired to and was disappointed, The manager struggled with the constant change. Also, due to poor staff planning, they clearly overhired for my role and I ended up getting laid off as a result, of course without any notice. Even though my manager had literally just told me the week before I was doing a great job and she was excited for my future at the company. LOL! But ultimately, getting laid off turned out to be a huge positive as I got a much better role for a lot more money, much better benefits and I'm still working remotely. So thank you for laying me off! The grass is always better on the other side.

Big sales, non-functional product

Pros

Benefits are good unless you have a family. Remote work, Onboarding team tries to make the first week a great experience. Generous charity matching.

Cons

Most importantly, their product simply does not work. All of the “rocket ship” & “shaking up the retirement industry” talk on LinkedIn is completely fake. I heard three separate times, “Quantity over Quality” and was reprimanded for asking too many questions. This company is filled with a sorority of ex paychex employees who do not know enough about 401(K). Maybe they will be up to speed eventually but in the meantime- what a mess. They tout their ERGs but the attendance is extremely low. They let go of employees left and right without a second thought. Turnover is really high and for some reason they cannot attract people to make their product work. They absolutely do not care about their clients because they push sell sell sell while knowing they can’t provide the services they sell.
