      Siloed and struggles to absorb acquisitions

      Collegial atmosphere, less command and control unlike other Consulting firms

      Cons

      Poor collaboration across practice areas. Org Structure perpetuates territorial behavior by MD's. Insufficient investment in methodology and research. Diversity is driven almost entirely by white female and LGBT - very little representation from other ethnicitys.

      Travel bonus and consulting perks Work experience

      Cons

      Fraternity culture Competitive, cliquey atmosphere Little regard for employee's skill sets or interests when determining project placement Project needs trump employee needs especially if you're an analyst or an associate - Leadership will withhold vacation or ask employees to change their vacation due to project demands, as well as ask employees to schedule doctor's appointments when it fits the project timelines (even if that's not the best for the employee's health) Work/Life balance

      Pros

      Nice Portland Office with a great kitchen and atmosphere and my co-workers were talented and friendly. The culture overall was upbeat and fun.

      Cons

      Middle management was pushing minimum 50 hour work week to most employees as a measure of success rather than actual quality or output. Employees with the same exact position were under different managers and as a result, were given different sets of rules regarding breaks, vacations and work schedules. Executives came out to the Portland office, (90% IT) and said, "We are not a software company, we are a consultant company."
