Pros

I’ve been here a couple years now and I have to say it’s been great for me. I’ve worked hard the whole time and done my best to treat everyone with kindness. I’ve seen a lot of people come through with ego problems or personal issues and they usually don’t last long or do well here. Everyone who’s focused on the work is too busy to cater to them. If you’re used to having things set up for you then you also may struggle because the company is rapidly expanding and seeing a lot of new horizons and still figuring a lot of things out. However, if you understand the business and the risks that are being taken, and don’t mind solving problems and figuring things out for yourself, then you will come across a lot of good, hard-working people here at all levels of the company. Along with that is opportunity, respect and reward.

Cons

The cons are not too bad depending on how you handle them: lots of change, lots of new ideas, some things not being set up yet. For me this has created opportunities for learning and career growth.

Pros

The people and the culture here is a breath of fresh air. Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful. Work hard, party hard.

Cons

The workflow process is constantly changing and none of the departments seem to communicate with each other when these changes happen. The most recent launch of their flagship device in March has been unmitigated chaos. We were given little warning, no training, and we weren’t even told how the thing worked until we started getting flooded with calls and e-mails with defective devices. We were learning how the device worked from the customer essentially.

Pros

Good location in Long Beach, interesting business model

Cons

Toxic culture and toxic management Incompetent management, “managers“ only care about covering themselves and hiding mistakes, no genuine interest or drive for the business, poor work ethic: this leads to a very top-heavy culture where all the blame is placed on middle management/ project managers. Also no work life balance. PTO communicated initially actually already includes California mandatory sick days. Lots of dishonesty.
