Pros

Being remote in the field, Hydrite still finds ways to connect you with the company and not make you feel on an island. The food group has an enormous support system with an unfathomable amount of industry expertise. There is always someone willing to help and find you the answer.

Cons

There is tons of flexibility, but depending on what region you are filtered into. Drive time may be greater than people expect. However, Hydrite is very adamant about work life balance and will compensate your time appropriately.

The business development managers role is not a sales job.

Pros

Can negotiate a great base pay. You receive a vehicle , gas card with an expense account. This job is 100% and bonuses are only paid for up to 15 months before moving either to an account manager or inside sales.

Cons

Bonuses are only paid once a year and are extremely difficult to achieve with the business model that the sales team is told to adhere to. All pricing must be approved by operations, each deal and opportunity is reviewed several times for profitability lengthening the sales. Not a good model for street sales or quick turnarounds.
