Pros

1-Felability to work remotely and flexible working hours is one of the best attributes in IBM. 2-IBMers and the culture are friendly and easy to blend in, which makes it pleasurable. 3-Continuously transforming, Restlessly reinventing. 4-Treasuring wild ducks and innovators are highly appreciated. 5-100+ year old in the market, it's a pride to work for such a great company. 6- Sales jobs are the best rated in terms of growth, training, and most importantly recognition by top IBM leadership and also wanted in the market. 7- Great talents and Experts in various fields.

Cons

1- As in any big company, layering in the management hierarchy. 2- Internal processes are complicated, that can frustrate you. 3- Promotions internally can take a long time, and sometimes might not come if you don't ask for it. 4-Almost 90% of training, educations are online (coming from back office job), unlike Sales where they get dedicated, high-quality face to face training.

Pros

Center of top technology projects, great supportive workforce, senior leadership is very accessible to younger consultants, great hours (never worked past 7PM, usually 9-5), great worklife balance

Cons

too large and take too long to make change. New leadership constantly comes and and changes everything with new acronyms. Few quality projects for young consultants.

Pros

- Huge company, so lots of potential areas of work - Massive internal knowledge base, can always connect with experts - Decent reputation externally

Cons

- Political mess, constant restructuring - Accenture and Deloitte eating our lunch - Partners are not involved in delivery at all, thus can only sell - Lack of mobility or bonuses or promotions - So many approvals and crap to get anything done - HORRIBLE internal software suit (Lotus notes sucks)
