Pros

Travel perks (hotel points, airplane miles), great resume builder, great benefits, work from home on Fridays if on a traveling project

Cons

IBM is a huge company so it is easy to get lost in the mix; if you aren't staffed on a project right away, you can sit on the bench for up to 8 months; constant travel (more than 70% of the time) is tough

Pros

Literally the only pro I can think of at IBM is that it is a well-known company with a good(although inaccurate) reputation. However, that reputation is starting to sour in order to reflect the companies modern day business dealings. In all other instances, it pales compared to other firms.

Cons

You will never get a raise. When you ask your manager why you have not received any sort of raise in two years(not even an inflation adjustment) , be prepared for them to respond that they have not received any sort of raise in an even longer amount of time.
