Pros

Good benefits, generous PTO allowance. Salary is excellent if you have a coveted skillset and are willing to negotiate hard. Metrics for performance are clear. Smart, talented, hardworking people who are trying their best to do the right thing.

Cons

Culture and quality of life are driven by upper management (VP and above), and both are extremely poor at this company. 30% of my peers in our department left the company during the past year for this reason. Those who were left behind have had horrific work-life balance. 70-80 hour workweeks are the norm. People are exhausted, miserable, and fed up, yet their concerns are downplayed by management. Clients are noticing the high turnover rate on projects and the reduction in quality and timeliness of the work that is being done by overworked human beings. When the client brings these concerns to management, management will turn around and both admonish and denigrate the employees. Company spent $12 billion to acquire PRAHS and in the same month told its employees that "the bonus pool isn't fully funded because targets were not met". Many people received no bonus at all in 2021. This is how you reward your people who remained loyal to your company despite COVID paycuts and mass exodus of employees in 2020??? I have personally witnessed upper management outright lie to clients when asked if there are adequate resourcing available to staff a project (well, technically not a lie: management will just assign the work of 4 people to one person and call this a "solution" to our resourcing problem). I have also been pressured by business development teams to inflate and embellish my credentials in proposals to clients in order to win new projects because our people with 20+ years of experience have left the company, and the less-experienced people who are left behind are paraded in front of clients as the new "experts".

Pros

It is hard to say, as the COVID procedures have completely turned everything upside down. They try to promote from within. They offer a nice amount of PTO off the bat

Cons

The promotions are very limited in terms of qualification. CTA's are often over worked and under paid when compared to the industry standard. The 37.5 hour work week is not conducive to making a living wage in the United States. The "raises" are a joke and do not even begin to adjust for annual cost of living inflation.

Pros

I was on assignment at BMS. They offered WFH days twice a week after 6 months and flexible working hours. Gain experience with big pharm

Cons

No promotions. They acknowledge how great you are doing and act like you cant do anything more but refuse to give you a promotion unless you say you will quit. They offer people that complain more perks but don't acknowledge the people that keep their head down and take on more responsibilities. There is one line manager that talks about your colleagues to you and is extremely inappropriate.
