      Pros

      The individual contributors are the best people to work with. It was a second home and family for many of us. We worked hard, we played hard, and we supported one another.

      Cons

      The arrival of the new CEO fractured the family feel of the company and made it more corporate. It was accepted at first due to the economy, but the new CEO and all the new VP's didn't understand what IGT does. While other companies are finding their stride, IGT seems to think oppression and scare tactics will result in better performance.

      Pros

      Ability to move around departments and change career. Flexible work schedules (you end up worked way more hours but on your terms.)

      Cons

      Not a leading technology company who attempts to get ahead of the curb by exposing employees to industry standard software/hardware. Without doing your own home work, it is really hard to get a tech job after working here.
