Pros

It's a job. Some good staff members

Cons

Low staff morale Cost cutting/outsourcing leads to job insecurity. Senior management is in a constant state of change, directionless, not in touch with the 'shop floor'. Lack of drive, passion, creativity from all areas. Career progression relies more on personal relationships than experience, if you are unlucky enough to sit some distance from your manager, or they work in another location then opportunities are hard to come by. Company does not value it's staff. Low staff morale. The business as a whole seems to be on the decline.

Pros

Free coffee, clean bathrooms, air conditioned and heated work environment.

Cons

Management wants us supervisors to treat our subordinates as if they are peons, and the managers will justify it by saying they took university level Management classes that taught them to treat employees poorly. If employees try to report management to HR, the managers will find out who reported them and then threaten to fire those employees if they complain to HR again in the future. The managers are friends with each other and will favor their friends/spouses when promotions and/or new positions become available. Managers value quantity over quality when it comes to job performance. This attitude damages the relationship between the company and the hundreds of casinos we deal with everyday, as employees are encouraged to keep calling casinos on minor, low priority issues that the casino personnel don't have time to worry about.
