Pros

The pay scale was good. In addition they had profit sharing, stock options and 401K contributions. Initially the work environment was good. There was flexibility.

Cons

They hired some middle and senior management who were laid off from Sun. These people changed the casual fun culture that existed to a more paper pushing bureaucratic DMV-like culture that SUN is famous for.

Pros

IGT does have decent benefits packages and a good amount of vacation time (starting with 3 weeks of time off with +1 week after 5 years) as well as 7+ company holiday days. Salaries aren't horrible but they are not good either.

Cons

Absolutely no opportunity for career advancement. The salary you negotiate is basically what you will make for the remainder of your career. Most senior management is completely incompetent. Horrible employee retention rate.
