Pros

IGT is known for being the leader in the slot machine and software manufacturer. Their products are one of the best, and casino’s customers play the games. IGT cares for their clients (casinos), and they do an excellent job of trying to please them.

Cons

To satisfy their customers, they forget about their employees. The company cares so much about their reputation that they put the employees on the side. With the merger, a lot of good and bad things are happening. One of the bad things is the fact that not everyone got a raise on the paycheck. Also, the internal promotion increase is based on a percentage, rather than what the position values. For example coming from a technician to an engineer, max increase is 10%. Engineer position is way below average, compared if you come from outside.

Pros

Great People, Freedom to learn new skills, flexible working.

Cons

Lack of management leadership, work piled onto core contributors that work long days without proper recognition where it counts (pay check). Other employees able to 'hide' in certain departments without ever contributing to the company. The bars are set at very different heights depending on personal abilities. If you have skills you will be overworked, if you are under skilled you will be left alone for the sake of departmental headcount justification. Work from home culture is make believe, employees not turning up to the office for weeks, then showing face to shout about how hard they have been working for others to hear. All with management blessing. Over resourcing on projects to allow for individuals to go on vacation and not have to contribute anything, all at the customers expense. The result is a shrinking systems business due to over pricing in comparison to competitors. Listen up IGT, I see what is happening to the business every single day. I have escalated my concerns through management many many times with zero action taken. Serious lack of accountability, and no direction for employees in general. Merger is being used a the perfect excuse to strip benefits (Bonus, Healthcare, Salary increases) and delay promotions and career development for those that deserve it most. I will shortly leave this company, only due to other personal vested interests will I remain for the time being.
