Pros

the biggest pro is that, at least at the one i worked at, all of the co workers are super nice and supportive and there really isn't any drama. Another pro is the pay is really nice especially for just a cashier!

Cons

While i really enjoy the people ikea'a system for write ups and things if that matter just really isn't understand or forgiving to coworkers. If you are even one minute late after scheduled you get written up and i think that it should just be a little more forgiving. Another thing is from my experience the managers are nice but they don't really care that much about your needs as a coworker I would definitely say that you should work at a much smaller corporation or a locally owned business or something .

Pros

If you have a competent manager, it can be an okay place to work. There have some very nice people working there.

Cons

Management claims to keep employees informed, but really don't. It's more about protecting managers, no matter how incompetent these managers are. Employees will get blamed for everything. The company expects employees to pretty much die for them. If not, they will find a way to fire you. The steering committee is the biggest joke since most of them don't know how to do their jobs. They claim to welcome diversity and to be open to new ideas and approaches, but don't you dare criticize any manager or speak your mind. If you're hard-working and motivated, don't waste your time hoping to make a difference or expect things to get better. IT WILL STAY LIKE THIS FOREVER.

Pros

Great values. Good coworker focus. Amazing health and life style benefits. Flexible schedule.

Cons

Depends what store you work in and who is the store manager and other members of senior management. Horrible store management = horrible work environment. Favoritism runs rampant.
