Pros

Great training. Probably the best training and structure to a “sales call” there is to offer. People are great to work with as well. Never really had that micromanagement you get at some places. Apart from power hour.

Cons

High-turn over of staff. When I started we had 25 or more spex guys on the floor. When I left there were just 14. Roles couldn’t be filled since there are no incentives in place and bad reputation (which some is true). MD is completely disconnected from the sales floor as well as some divisional directors. Some Products are mediocre at best and it’s bad luck on you if you get lumbered with a bad project. WHICH IS THE BIGGEST ISSUE. I’ve seen 30+ people sacked because essentially they’re starting at the bottom of the ladder with New or crap events that senior people don’t want. Many of the new starters are set up for failure as soon as they turn up.

Pros

IQPC It's a good place where to start your career if you want to work in sales of Marketing because they provide good training. There are some nice and competent people working there. You can move between departments Dress down Fridays

Cons

In IQPC it matters more who your friends are than how good you are at your job or how hard you work. If you are not friend with the right people, you won't go anywhere. There's a lot of politics and a lot of bitching. IQPC pay very low salaries compared to the market average. The company parties are always the same: a dance routine to be prepared and performed as a team. Everyone got tired of them, but those who organise them seem not to have noticed. Occasionally there is a treasure hunt, but most people go to the pub instead. The way IQPC treat some of its employees is really appalling. About this I want to share two short stories: 1) a colleague of mine once realised that his work was being done by someone else. Not long after that he was sacked and it turned out that everyone in his (small) office knew his employment would have ended. Everyone but for him. 2) The lead generation team was on one occasion promised they would have received a special 'prize' if they had reached a higher target that day. Some of the guys in the team actually worked harder and reached the target. At lunch time everyone was invited to the boardroom and the 'prizes' were given out. Well, the winners received a doughnut each. Everyone else just sat there looking at them.
