Pros

-New York is a great place to work -When permitted, ability to travel -You can meet some very nice and fun people

Cons

-Lack of communication between departments -Micromanaged -Extreme high turnover rate (in one week, at least one a day) -HORRIBLE Salary -They seem to care more about the QUANTITY of events they produce than the QUALITY of the events -Work environment was ridiculous - people were stacked on top of each other - as if you were back in school-no sense of space. You would be on a call with a client and there would be people talking in the background (which clients were able to hear) -Worse place to work if you have experience

Pros

Great location in Victoria. Large office, you will meet a lot of new friends who are always up for having a sneaky pint on a Friday.

Cons

IQPC has a very high turnover of staff, overpromises about training, bonuses and progression through the company. You will find that almost all of the senior staff members joined the company 4 or more years ago and IQPC was their first company. Most do not realise that the grass is truely greener elsewhere, Work in sales? If you are not consistant you will not last very long. But if you are a sales superstar, IQPC will look after you well. Producers get used and abused, very poor pay, low prospects of career progression. Do not be fooled by their revenue share promises, when starting out, you will be testing new and unproven events, most people do not see much of their bonus when starting out. Marketers also get used and abused, it is very common to see people in the marketing department working till after 8 or 9pm, non senor marketers will also get untested, small scale events and will be lucky to see much of their bonus. Senior management are stuck on 10 year old marketing techniques, there is absolutely no innovation, unless you are a monkey, you will not learn anything in the marketing department. Senior management decided to launch various web portals and charge the marketing department to advertise on the portals, this rarely returns a positive roi but all marketers are forced to use their marketing budgets here. Basically, the marketers are funding the development of the portals out of their own bonuses it is an absolute sham. Pretty much the only way you will get a raise from IQPC is by getting another job offer from another company, or threatening to quit. I do not recommend this company for anyone.

Pros

Can't say there are many, if at all any for IQPC Exchange.

Cons

- First of all, when I joined a year ago, there has been consistently very high staff turnover. Many people are constantly coming and going. Management never gave support to the sales rep if they started to fall behind, instead they'll just rid of them, they don't care about you and if this is where you want to start your career then look elsewhere. - The culture is non-existent and incredibly dry. Before I joined a while back I was sold that it was a fun and an exciting culture where everyone is friends and gets on. Since I joined that has not been the case. Everyone sits at their desks with headphones in and not a single word is said all day because the managers sit in between everyone. This could be different if the managers set an example, but they don't say anything and everyone is always scared to speak out or ask any questions. It is genuinely like being in a school classroom. Additionally, if your performance may start to fall (as it is always precarious in sales) you wont get given support or training, instead they'll just wait to give you a warning or will make you move desk to sit next to the management. It is a fear induced terrible work environment. - Management are also very unproffesional and quite honestly incompetent. A few people in our team had left all at the same time, and instead of saying a few nice words about them, our manager said that they do not care they have left because it won't impact them in anyway. Not a good look. - Commission structure is very bad. I didn't know this until I joined because they kept it quiet, but when I made my first deal, they didn't pay all of it in one go (normally the month after). Instead they pay half one month then the other half a month after the event which could be months away.
