Pros

The people you meet. I met some of the best friends there, we all suffered together.

Cons

I don’t even know where to start. I’ve never been so poorly listened to, treated like a child and disrespected by management since I’ve started working full time. The managers are extremely patronising and controlling, the pay and commission is awful (they promise you the world and you soon realise it’s all lies) and the employee retention is so bad I should’ve seen this as a red flag when I started. You could bring in an amazing deal and if you missed your call time by 10 minutes you would get in trouble. I was called names by the managers. I was told off for eating a sandwich at my desk once, when I didn’t have a lunch because I was so busy. People steal deals off you on a daily basis, and then these people get praised and higher commission because they were sneaky with the way they worked. People would cry on a weekly basis because of the conditions or the managers, it was truly toxic and after working there 7 months I didn’t feel like myself anymore, I was so miserable and this is the case for all my friends I met there.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, although we’re extremely surprised and disappointed by your comments regarding your experience in our sales function. We have zero tolerance towards discrimination or bullying of any kind and would strongly encourage you to reach out to our Chief People Officer, or to any member of the HR team in confidence. We’re proud to be recognised as a Great Place to Work© and are very sorry to hear that this was not your experience. We take the feedback of all our employees seriously and want to be able to address your concerns and put things right. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, please email employee.feedback@iris.co.uk if you have more feedback to share. Kind regards, the HR team

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re delighted that you recognise our fantastic people who come together every day to #MakeItHappen and our extensive incentive offerings for our salespeople. We’re delighted to operate a total reward package at IRIS, including amazing benefits, bonus schemes and holiday entitlement, and specifically for our salespeople, our comprehensive commission scheme, and luxurious trips. Our commission plans support employees through monthly payments, set monthly and quarterly quotas, and enables our salespeople the chance to earn up to 200% of commission when they achieve their target. We’re also delighted to operate a range of other incentives throughout the year to reward consistent achievement, such as running a recognition award for our highest performing salespeople each quarter with fantastic prizes, as well as inviting our Elite Club on luxury trips. We’re delighted to reward our salespeople, and happy to share that our employee attrition in the Sales Function is lower than the national average employee turnover. We also work hard across IRIS to give all managers the skills they need to motivate, develop and inspire their teams, and we created our dedicated ‘Managing with IMPACT’ training programme to do just that, as well as providing managers with ongoing support, communication, emotional intelligence and practical training, HR coaching, wellbeing tools and regular check-ins with their managers to ensure they’re performing at their best. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, and we would welcome any further suggestions. Please reach out to the HR team or email EmployeeFeedback@iris.co.uk. We wish you all the best in the future. Kind regards, the HR team
