Pros

Culturally diverse with great people. IRIS supports career development, work/life balance and voluntary work. The company rhetoric matches the reality with strong values that align with the company objectives. Senior management communications are clear and inspiring. The company provides brilliant products to customers that can really make a difference. You can see the long term vision for the company and it is very exciting to be a part of.

Cons

The companies growth trajectory and opportunities are massive, this can occasionally make it feel a little chaotic.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We are delighted that you recognise our commitment to championing diversity. We are dedicated to supporting people of all backgrounds and experiences, through our Belonging Group, which consists of employee representatives who meet regularly to champion inclusion and diversity initiatives, our diversity sponsor within our executive team, and we are proud to be a Disability Confident Committed Employer, Stonewall Diversity Champion, and signatory of the Race at Work Charter. We are also delighted that in our most recent Great Place to Work survey we scored extremely high on the fair treatment of staff regardless of gender, race, age and sexuality. We are very proud of our values, Innovation, Making It Happen, Passion, Accountability, Customer Focus, and Teamwork, which were chosen by our employees. Our values mean that we put both our employees and customers at the heart of everything we do, inspiring new ideas, delivering high quality results, working hard and uniting together to achieve as one. We are always looking to streamline our recruitment and onboarding processes to drive recruitment and hire more great people who can help us achieve our vision to ensure our customers get it right, first time, every time. For example, we are pleased to operate a ‘Recommend a Friend Bonus’, which offers up to £1000 to employees who put forward someone to join the IRIS family. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, and we would welcome any further suggestions. Please speak to your HR representative or leave a comment in our next Peakon survey. Kind regards, the HR team

Pros

There are positives here. The sales teams realise they are all in the same boat and tend to group together to motivate others who might be struggling.

Cons

The atmosphere and general feeling around the sales department is one of absolute fear and resentment towards management. The methodology from management is simply one way…. Numbers, numbers, numbers. The trouble is with this is they have no interest in how you actually get these numbers or why is there a lack of numbers. The lead generation process is shambolic, marketing don’t help, and the process to actually progress a deal is from the dark ages. Everything in IRIS is over complicated to the extreme. This causes issues with billing, customer service and ultimately clients leaving us. Why is there a senior leadership team? What do they do other than scream for numbers…. In other businesses there is at least an attempt to understand the complexities and conditions with a view to make things easier for people to actually sell things. All in all a very difficult place to work. Not your typical software firm. Very much boiler room mentality.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, although we are surprised and disappointed by your comments. We sincerely ask you to reach out to Stephanie Kelly, our Chief People Officer, in complete confidence so that she can help, or your department’s Employee Voice Ambassador (EVA) if you feel you are not being supported by you manager. We would also like to offer the opportunity to discuss this further with Kerry McAtkin (HR Director for Commercial) as we are interested to know your experience with IRIS and how we can help you feel more supported and engaged. We are delighted to reward our fantastic salespeople for hitting their target and have recently updated our commission scheme. This initiative has included rolling out the same scheme across Sales, moving to monthly commission payments, simplifying tiers and types of order and the chance to earn 200% of commission once you hit your target. We’re also investing in training for our salespeople so that they can develop their skills, learn different products, and grow their careers. We are also pleased to run a recognition award for our highest performing salespeople each quarter. To streamline our processes and increase efficiency, we have heavily invested in Quantum, our integrated software platform, and Salesforce to manage our sales processes. We are also investing in our customers’ journey, mapping out the current end to end customer journey and overlaying it with a simpler customer-first approach. We’ve also been proud to celebrate the launch of our new marketing campaign, Time to Grow, which will support businesses with their digital transformations and increase revenue potential. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, and we would welcome any further suggestions. Please speak to your HR representative or leave a comment in our next Peakon survey. Kind regards, the HR team
