Pros

Relatively good job security (except from newly acquired business - see Cons) Good teamwork across departments Company benefits Learning opportunities

Cons

When they acquire and integrate smaller businesses, despite promises of job security, they soon restructure and do lay-offs in order to transform the newly acquired business into a department Low wages High workload Although they try the concept "One IRIS, one team" in practice, that's not the case as different teams have different working conditions, tools, etc. and are never fully integrated into the company.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are delighted that you recognise our fantastic teams who work hard across IRIS to champion one of our IMPACT values, #TeamWork, as well as our extensive range of benefits and L&D opportunities. We have successfully integrated a number of acquired businesses into IRIS including in our Customer Support area. This may involve reporting line changes from time to time, as well as aligning to other ways of working such as skills matrices, customer service frameworks and quality activity as a few examples. Nevertheless, we have never made any redundancies or restructured in Support as part of integrating acquired businesses. We are delighted to have a Career Progression Scheme across Customer Support, and this has been extended to some acquired companies, with plans to roll out wider to ensure consistency with progression and equal opportunities for all. We recognise that rapid growth provides particular challenges for upscaling our systems and infrastructure, which is why we’ve invested in Project Quantum, our world-class integrated software platform which replaces isolated processes across our business with a fully integrated set of systems. This provides standardised resources and tools across the IRIS family to help our employees navigate our processes and enable them to work efficiently together. We are committed to building #1RIS and ensure that all employees, including newly acquired staff, are invited to join our competitive benefits package, participate in monthly Peakon surveys and global company updates, move to an IRIS contract, and we encourage cross function collaboration so we can benefit from shared expertise. Paying our employees fairly and competitively for their hard work is of the upmost importance to us, and we're delighted to be officially recognised as a Real Living Wage employer. This means we commit to paying a fair wage to cover at least the real cost of living in the UK as calculated by the Real Living Wage Foundation. On top of this, we run an annual salary review process which includes benchmarking data, to make sure we are paying fairly and competitively compared to the market. We also offer pay scales in select departments and operate a range of generous bonus and commission schemes to recognise and reward hard work. We want our employees to feel empowered and we work hard to ensure that everyone across IRIS can share their fantastic ideas and suggestions with us. We encourage you to use Peakon, our monthly survey tool, to share your ideas with managers and senior leaders in real time. This feedback can be instantly viewed, allowing our leadership teams to act on ideas quickly and respond to comments. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, and we would welcome any further suggestions. Please speak to your HR representative or leave a comment in our next Peakon survey. Kind regards, the HR team

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, although we are sorry to hear of your experience with a potential sale being reallocated. We are aware of the situation you are referring to; on limited occasions, we may ask our senior sales executives to take on high-value deals so that they can provide their expertise and be role models for our newer colleagues. We are sorry if you felt this wasn’t handled sensitively and we will always encourage collaboration between our senior salespeople and junior salespeople, who are able to shadow our sales experts to refine their skills and be able to provide an outstanding quality of service. We’re very proud to support all our salespeople so that they can develop their skills, learn different products, and grow their careers. We run an extensive 4-week induction and training course for our newer sales executives which is delivered by a host of experts across Sales, Marketing and Product. This training covers the end-to-end sales process supported by individual training modules and a tailored product training programme We also provide dedicated personal performance coaching for our salespeople and work shadowing opportunities, so that they can develop their skills and grow their careers. To reward our fantastic salespeople, we offer a comprehensive commission scheme that has been rolled out across the function to provide monthly commission payments, which are allocated based on input and promotes the chance to earn 200% of commission when the target is achieved. We are also pleased to run a recognition award for our highest performing salespeople each quarter, with our latest winner being gifted an electric scooter. Employee feedback is always important to us, and we encourage all of our employees to share with us their great feedback in our monthly engagement survey Peakon. We are continuing to increase the engagement in our Sales team and are so pleased to have an engagement score of 8.5 for our Sales department, which is 0.7 above our industry benchmark. We are also consistently scoring high in our drivers for ‘Management Support’ and ‘Organisational Fit’ from the survey results of our Sales team. We also encourage our employees reach out to our Employee Voice Ambassador, who are given dedicated training on how to interpret and action Peakon feedback, facilitate meetings, and lead with empathy. We are proud to have 10 ambassadors in Sales & Marketing, who listen to the teams’ collective voices to be cascaded up to our senior leaders and executive team, thereby helping implement positive change and further improve engagement. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, and we would welcome any further suggestions. Please reach out to the HR team or email EmployeeFeedback@iris.co.uk. We wish you all the best in the future. Kind regards, the HR team
