Pros

You make some close friends Free fruit Onsite parking (if you are lucky enough to get it) You are not expected to do over your hours

Cons

You are made to do more than you are contracted for Staff can pretty much get away with what they want promotional jobs are given away without interview (2 very recently) They constantly move the goalposts and expect you to be up to date with how things are run No communication on anything including management changes, anything that is going on and building meetings happening without the whole building

Thanks so much for your feedback, although we’re surprised and disappointed to read your comments. We’re proud of our in-depth communication strategy which includes our bi-monthly Your IRIS newsletter, monthly site updates in each office that focus on organisational and local news, regular email updates from the CEO and Marketing teams, and including the latest IRIS news on our intranet and social media channels. If you are unable to attend a site update, you are very welcome to dial into one of the two remote sessions held each month, and we encourage you to speak to HR and your manager so we can help you to attend at a time that suits. Our Delve, Teams and Cascade systems allow you to view organisation charts and find out ‘who’s who’ across the business, and we’ve received excellent feedback from employees on how these tools help them to keep up to date as we continue to grow. We offer significant progression and development opportunities to all our staff, including management training, apprenticeships, and a comprehensive learning curriculum on offer throughout, and we saw a record number of employees take their next step (whether a promotion, secondment or internal transfer) at IRIS in 2019 alone. Our Chief People Officer would personally like to understand and resolve your concerns about promotion and make sure that you progress at IRIS at the pace that suits you - please reach out to her to arrange a confidential one to one.

Pros

you get your commission quick that's about it. and if you want a job to get free booze at parties and socialise then its for you the people make that business not the management

Cons

They have no real want to please their staff coming from an aquasition you know one of the thousands they've started to do ( more products than Tesco) I felt it was probably one of the worst atmospheres to come into the product quality and commission in the first year was fab they left us alone to do the job we had been doing for years then targets doubled they messed with what we were allowed to sell and how we sold it and wrecked the system client satisfaction went down the pan then the year after after we hit about 20% of the target they set they made it higher again nobody had any faith in Iris prices went up customers went down . but the worst experience I had was with a patch of depression i was put on PIPS even though I declared the fact. I was having counselling and nobody cared better to punish than help

Thanks so much for your review. We’re surprised and disappointed to read your comments – we work hard across IRIS to ensure that colleagues across each of our acquired companies feel welcome, supported and have the tools they need to succeed here at IRIS. Our impressive product portfolio enables us to meet customer needs with the features, price point and scale to suit them. We also offer excellent training for our salespeople to ensure they are confident to sell our products, meet their commission targets, and progress within the organisation. We genuinely care about the mental health and wellbeing of our staff, and offer free private healthcare, an Employee Assistance Program, face to face counselling sessions and a dedicated HR team to ensure our employees get the support they need, when they need it. We would really appreciate the opportunity to discuss your concerns in more detail – please reach out to our Chief People Officer, Stephanie Kelly, in complete confidence, or email EmployeeFeedback@iris.co.uk. We wish you all the very best in your future career. Kind regards, the HR team
