Pros

Few benefits like Simplyhealth, and travel loan.

Cons

Seen a lot of changes here at IRIS. Got rid of a lot of the original deadwood, although looking at management they have replaced, it’s not an improvement. It may have not been great working around with them, but they were 10 times better than the current management in place. Normal members of staff do not trust management, only allowed to mention Chris Smith on here but he know's all about this. Himself and others comes across as nothing more than condescending. There are individuals that have high positions in the company, and are not nice people to work with, they really don't care for your well-being (as seen with the rush of putting people back in the office) and no surprise people have moved jobs within the company to avoid working with them. They will strip you of commissions for no reason, you ask to speak to them you wont hear back for days. There has been a massive high turnover of staff leaving, pay, comms or just feeling undervalued by the company. You have no creative freedom when it comes to sales. I feel for the new staff who are brought through their 'Academy' The company is certainly a sinking ship, there is no career progression. Certain managers are bullies, one of them who is well known for this! HR will not do anything, they sometimes don’t even get your name right when wanting to deal with a complaint. I feel sorry for the staff left at the company, due to all the redundancies, and experienced staff leaving. You have a few people like myself who have the experience but are constantly dealing with issue after issue. Customers are leaving in huge numbers, the ones who need to speak with IRIS are getting inexperienced staff who don’t know what to do. So the customers are getting annoyed and it's putting unfair pressure on the staff. What IRIS need to do: • Stop lying to customers, and staff that everything is great. It’s not. • Start telling staff about your plans, there is no surprise you are outsourcing more work to India. First, it supports, and now its internal IT and heavy talk about some of the sales. • Treat your staff better if a complaint has been made about someone’s behavior. Don’t brush it under the carpet. The amount of staff leaving due to poor management is crazy. • Start lowering your targets, it's ridiculous. You wouldn’t need silly targets if you charged customers the right amount. • Make urgent changes to the software you sell, the management needs replacing. Otherwise, our competitors will be taking over. • Improve staff members basic salary, you are one of the lowest, all of your competitors pay a lot more. Start following suit! IRIS still have former staff members on their videos talking about how great the company is when they left due to being bullied and becoming ill. There is so much more I want to say, but all I am focusing on now is leaving IRIS and bettering my career. Like many who are still here (just), we are all looking for a new place to work, it is just not the right time. I know nothing will be done about this. IRIS JUST SORT IT, BEFORE ITS TOO LATE

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, we are surprised and disappointed by your comments. We have zero tolerance towards discrimination or bullying of any kind and would strongly encourage you to reach out to our new HR Director within the Commercial in confidence or to any member of the HR team. We take the opinions of all our employees seriously and want to be able to address your concerns and put things right. We are delighted to have been certified as a Great Place to Work for the second year running, which is based upon scoring highly in an anonymous employee survey conducted by a third party. We’re really sorry to hear that this hasn’t been your experience, and we look forwarding to working with you to put things right. Kind regards, the HR team

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review, although we were surprised and disappointed by your comments. We are very proud to support employees with a range of disabilities, chronic conditions, and mental health issues. We make reasonable adjustments to enable employees to grow their career here at IRIS and we are delighted to be recognised as a Disability Confident Committed employer. This means that we ensure our recruitment process is inclusive, accessible, and that interviews are offered to those with disabilities. We also provide reasonable adjustments and support our existing employees with disabilities to have long and satisfying careers. For instance, in November we signposted training courses for dyslexia, and we are planning to integrate a software tool (Read&Write for Work) that helps employees with dyslexia, autism, and ADHD with everyday literacy tasks. We have a Belonging Group made up of employee representatives which is dedicated to supporting people of all backgrounds and experiences, which we would encourage you to join so that you can help support our evolution. We also provide free private health insurance and an optional health cash plan that our UK employees can access. We are also committed to offering a great range of mental health and wellbeing support - with trained mental health first aiders, a weekly workplace support group, company-funded access to talking therapies, wellbeing apps, an Employee Assistance Program, and Mindfulness training. We’re sorry to hear your comments and we sincerely ask you to reach out to Stephanie Kelly, our Chief People Officer, in complete confidence so that she can help, or alternatively reach out to your HR representative. Kind regards, the HR team

Pros

Employee recognition is good but what I really like is that the firm and its owners appear to have a solid strategy for growth and they deliver on it.

Cons

The method for integrating acquired firms leaves a lot of reliance on individuals to catch things that fall through the gaps. The process isn't robust.
