Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re very proud of our extensive range of outstanding products and services that we provide to our customers, as well as our recent focus on cloud technologies. We’re delighted that you recognise this, as we work hard to continually listen and act on customer feedback and innovate to provide excellent customer experience. We’re proud to have recently been shortlisted for the ‘Company of the Year’ award at the Bett Awards, crowned ‘Tech Employer of the Year’ at the Thames Valley Tech Awards, and be certified as a Great Place to Work© for the third year running. Paying our employees fairly for their work is of the upmost importance to us, and we are proud to run an annual salary review process, which includes using external benchmarking data, to make sure we are paying fairly and competitively compared to the market. We are also delighted to reward our fantastic salespeople with a comprehensive commission scheme with the chance to earn 200% of commission when the target is achieved. We also provide a range of other incentives and rewards for our salespeople, such as regular competitions with the chance to win big prizes and our Elite Club’s luxury trips to Las Vegas and other exciting places. We’re continuing to increase employee engagement in Peakon, our engagement platform, and are so pleased to have attained an engagement score of 7.9 for our Commercial department, which is above our industry benchmark. We’re also consistently scoring high in our drivers for ‘Reward’, ‘Organisational Fit’ and ‘Management Support’. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, and we would welcome any further suggestions. Please speak to your HR representative, contact EmployeeFeedback@iris.co.uk or leave a comment in our next Peakon survey. Kind regards, the HR team

Pros

Lots of laughs (mainly at the sitcom like behavior of management) and the potential to earn a significant amount for very little skill if you're willing to keep those dials up and even more if you're willing to leave your morals at the door.

Cons

Continually raising targets and unrealistic expectations. Cutting commissions and lack of support. Casual in office racism, sexism and general bullying passed off as banter.

I am very sorry that you have been impacted by the recent restructure in our Sales organisation and I appreciate you taking the time to leave a review, although I am disappointed by your comments. We have zero tolerance towards discrimination or bullying of any kind and we are aware of one such incident within the Commercial team within the past 12 months which was quickly investigated and appropriate disciplinary action taken. Please feel confident that any concerns are treated with the upmost seriousness and we would sincerely request that you reach out to Stephanie.Kelly@iris.co.uk (our Chief People Officer) if there is anything you would like to discuss. We have an extremely strong record of promoting diversity and inclusion and setting very high standards for our staff – our employees rated the fair treatment of staff regardless of gender, race, age and sexuality extremely highly in our recent Great Place to Work survey (which was completely anonymous and conducted by a third party consultancy), even showing we out-perform other certified Great Places to Work™ in this area. We are very proud to be a signatory of the Race at Work Charter which underlines our commitment to the progression of BAME employees across the UK, have an extensive range of female role models at all levels of the organisation with policies in place to support and empower our next generation of female leaders and ensure fair treatment of men and women throughout the organisation, and we are recognised as a Disability Confident Committed Employer for our commitment and actions to provide meaningful work for disabled people in the UK. We regularly run training courses on equality and diversity for employees and managers, host extensive resources on our intranet pages (including unconscious bias and working within diverse teams training) and run a series of events each year designed to connect and celebrate the diversity of employees we have across the IRIS family. In regards to your other comments, we are very proud of the changes we have made as a Sales department over the past 12 months to increase the support, earning potential and opportunities available to our fantastic salespeople. In November 2020 alone, our salespeople attended 526 hours of sales training and 1-2-1 coaching, with 57 training workshops delivered for developing systems knowledge, product enablement and increasing skills and confidence; they also used our new tool (ShowPad) with its dedicated education module to upskill their knowledge for 82 hours in November, with many more expected in 2021. We are also rolling out our ‘Commercial Centre of Excellence’, with 52 attendees in December and offering additional training with 3 months of courses available to book from January onwards. Feedback from recent training courses show that this investment gives them the knowledge, tools and confidence they need to sell our fantastic products and services effectively. We're rightly proud of the robust commission structure launched in 2020 which gives our salespeople across the IRIS family access to accelerated commission rates on hitting their targets. In support of this, we were delighted to launch our new Sales Elite Club to celebrate our top performing salespeople each year. We put both our customers and our employees at the heart of everything we do (with ‘Delighting Customers’ and ‘Delighting Employees’ two of IRIS’s three core objectives), with numerous opportunities for employees to tell us what’s working well, highlight areas for improvement and share their great ideas. If you have any further feedback or suggestions you’d like to raise, you are also welcome to contact me directly. Kind regards, Chris Smith – Chief Commercial Officer
