Pros

Large company with advancing technologies.

Cons

Lots of good people leaving because they're fed up. Multiple aquisitions, don't care about their employees as much as they make out they do. Pekon surveys are just tick-in-the-box exercises. Lack of progression and if you progress they don't pay you the commensurate salary.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re delighted that you recognise our focus on providing innovative software that ensure that our customers get it right first time, every time. As a market-leading investor in Cloud technology, we work at speed and with #Passion to optimise #Innovation. Internal progression is of the utmost importance to us, as we’re passionate about helping our employees grow and thrive in their careers at IRIS. We provide fantastic opportunities for development, such as helping you grow through funded training, apprenticeships and Masterships, and other internal initiatives such as our High Potential Programme, which gives our employees opportunities to progress and develop their careers with us. Within the last year, we have also launched our Learning Management System, ‘Learning with IMPACT’, our Elevate personal growth pathway, and our leadership pathways. Our current career framework project is further setting clear paths for progression and lateral moves. We’re proud to have celebrated 88 IRISians receiving a promotion or role change in the last 12 months. We’re delighted to be an acquisitive company that invests into successful organisations, their fantastic employees, and brilliant products to provide a wider product range to our customer base. Based on our experience, we have refined our acquisition and integration processes and proudly introduced our dedicated team within IRIS that focuses on providing a warm and supportive welcome to new businesses into the IRIS family to help them grow and continue their success. It is important for us to nurture a #1RIS culture which aligns the acquired company’s values with IRIS ones and host a Valuing You workshop for each of our acquisitions. We’re delighted to share that looking at our last four largest acquisitions, their eNPS score on Peakon has increased since joining us by at least +15 and up to +47 eNPS. We’re super proud to run Peakon surveys, and the results of these are monitored by the executive team, senior leaders, HR and managers across IRIS family. Managers are able to respond to comments directly and we’re thrilled that managers have left more than 20,000 responses to Peakon comments in the last 12 months. We're also delighted to have Employee Voice Ambassadors to share feedback and ideas to make a real difference across IRIS. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, and we would welcome any further suggestions. Please contact EmployeeFeedback@iris.co.uk. Kind regards, the HR team

Pros

Good starting point, long structure of employees and departments, Remote work setting.

Cons

No career growth, no prospects for future in the role. Below average compensation in any field you're working. Very limited resources to train employees, depends on the department. If you ask for training, you wait months for it to be finalised - mine never was. Sales highly rewarded, but rest is forgotten about. Very culty vibes on sales calls with mgmt. Job gets repetitive and boring. If you're young and creative, your creativity will be gone within 6 months of working in IRIS. In terms of career progression, framework was given out to everyone but manager's are not trained well to explain what and how the plan works to progress on the corporate ladder. No clear steps for career growth, you have to figure it out yourself. Works for you best if you brushed shoulders with someone from management, then yeah there is a room for growth. Promotions left my colleagues with no difference in salary, which is scandalous.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re glad you enjoyed starting your career with IRIS and appreciated our remote working opportunities. Internal progression is of the utmost importance to us, as we’re passionate about helping our employees grow and thrive in their careers at IRIS. We’re delighted to have now started the next phase of our career framework rollout which focusses on skill and competencies mapping, which will help identify any gaps and areas for development. Our 15 Elevate modules, designed based on employee feedback, cover all aspects of your personal growth. In Customer Operations specifically, we’re committed to providing our employees with a variety of routes for progression, for example, from 1st line support you can increase your product knowledge as a Customer Support Analyst, join the management team within Customer Services, or move to our Professional Services, Development, or Product teams. Since the start of 2023, we are proud to have celebrated over 86 promotions and role changes across IRIS. Paying our employees fairly and competitively for their hard work is of priority to us, and we're delighted to be officially recognised as a Real Living Wage employer. This means we commit to paying a fair wage to cover at least the real cost of living in the UK as calculated by the Real Living Wage Foundation. On top of this, we run an annual salary review process which includes benchmarking data, to make sure we are paying fairly and competitively compared to the market. We also offer pay scales in select departments (such as Customer Support) to enable employees to grow their salaries as they develop their skills. We’re also delighted to offer all permanent employees an annual bonus entitlement, which usually pays out in July. In Customer Support, we also offer employees a quarterly bonus. We’re always looking for ways we can be the best we can be, and we would welcome any further suggestions. Please contact EmployeeFeedback@iris.co.uk. Kind regards, the HR team

Pros

You get support from management and training. I am an engineer and I love to develop out-of-the-box ideas and we get to do that every quarter. There was one incident with a colleague and the company and mangement handled it brilliantly. I am remote only but the company still want you to feel part of the family. Couldn't be more supportive of people who are different. Progressive with their diversity and inclusion.

Cons

Currently, we have limited Pluralsight licenses so we get checked on if we are not keeping up the minimum hours per month. If not then your license is at risk and you have to give it up to someone else on the waiting list.
