Good job security even though are budget go slashed the job provides a steady paycheck and we get a pension and a 401k plan

Cons

training got so bad we are making on our course materials at our local office rather then getting it from headquarters. Our raises no longer keep up with inflation and we lost our overtime

Secure, critical job because you must report to work even if the Government shuts down Plenty of overtime due to case backlog No dress code Alternative Work Schedule gives us one day off a week or every two weeks

Cons

Managers often have no education beyond a two- or four-year degree Tammany Hall-type environment due to nepotism because entire families work for the IRS
