Pros

Great health insurance benefits, great coworkers.

Cons

Too political. Jobs, promotions and opportunities are dependent on every four years when is time for the general election. When Obama was president we were forced to celebrate gay pride month, regardless of our personal beliefs. Not many opportunities to grow.

Pros

Decent pay for 8 hour day.

Cons

Hypocrisy at every Mgmt level, Union overwhelmed with grievances, Federal govt doesn’t allow for merit raises, 90% of employee force are barely high school graduates so definitely not a job for a college grad, biggest waste of Federal time, money and resources.

Pros

Very good benefits, and the pay can be pretty good if you get into the right position.

Cons

You work when there is enough work otherwise it isn't steady employment until you get "promoted" to a position that doesn't get furloughed. It takes months to get into the position and then you are places where needed and hope to be trained in your job before the works stops for the season.
