Pros

I appreciate that we continue to have strong benefits and the support of a union. This job also provides opportunities to move across different departments and areas of government, which adds valuable experience and looks impressive on a résumé.

Cons

This past year has been challenging. We were affected by both the rift and the shutdown, which placed many people in difficult circumstances. Because this is a federal government job, every decision made at the government level directly impacts us
