Pros

Professional L&D events Good sense of culture despite being remote Good opportunities to get involved Some genuinely good employees IF you have a great team, a great place to be

Cons

Being self-managed does not work when some people still like to act like they have power and authority over others. Too much of power imbalance. Lots of toxic work gossip, toxic co workers, overall unhealthy work environment. too much internal politics. Feels like if you do not fit with the status quo, you will be seen as a black sheep and risk employment, even though they say they no one has authority over another to get fired

Pros

No pros the team management sucks

Cons

There is lot of office politics. No ethics of the people working there. It feels like a fashion office no sense of dress or style from the employees and the environment is hectic.

Pros

The vision and mission of the company is great The CEO and many others in the company do incredible things within and outside of the company Self management Nice office When used appropriately, Teal is a ggreat system

Cons

People do not always use Teal as it is intended Some people actually use Teal practices as weapons, or to excuse for their behavior There is a lot of hypocrisy Employees hired prior to becoming Teal are not held to the same standard as new employees coming into the Teal environment (despite being a part of the transition) Measures are taken to prevent negative reviews of the company There is a lot of talk about psychological safety, but I personally felt more psychologically safe at every other job I have had (some of which were quite toxic) simply because I trusted the system would work as intended and as it was presented here and it doesn't. To summarize, no one is perfect, but in this system, there are teams and individuals who can use Teal procedures to alienate, bully, and belittle other imperfect people. Non-new employees can also choose not to use Teal procedures, or only use when it is convenient to them. Therefore, I would recommend that anyone who decides to join the company to be cautious, do not trust that the system or people will work for you. Ask a lot of questions.

Hi... thanks for posting a review... sounds like you have some advice and perspective that would be valuable and I would to love to hear it directly (it's very hard to take specific action on generalities)... send me a message on Teams and I'd love to book a call to hear more. Thanks! Tim
