Pros

I like the fact that the job is predictable and repetitive. Staff are kind and helpful. Management is firm with expectations and clear when discussing any issues, they also still try to help whenever possible.

Cons

Difficult. Often understaffed while a large amount of online orders are expected to be completed by the end of my shift, constantly told to speed up. You're expected to achieve a pick-rate of over 200 items per hour, none of which was bought up in the interview. Can't imagine many people would take the job with the crazy high expectations.

We are really pleased to hear you’ve had a positive experience with your team and that management are supportive and clear. At the same time, we are sorry to hear that workload and expectations have felt challenging. Your feedback about pick rates and setting clearer expectations during the interview process is really valuable. We would encourage you to raise this with your Store Manager so it can be reviewed and better supported.

Pros

Employee discount and yearly Christmas vouchers

Cons

No recognised union so bullying is rife from management. Terrible working atmosphere. Managers constantly watching you incase you're 'talking and not working'. Micromanaging everything you do. Doing deliveries on your own. Cliques. Favouritism from male managers towards attractive female employees. High turnover. Employing young people to pay peanuts and manipulate into near slave labour.

Thank you for your feedback and for your long service with us. We are really pleased to hear you’ve built strong relationships with your colleagues and found flexibility in your role. However, we are sorry to hear about your concerns around management behaviour and hiring practices, as this is not the standard we expect. We take comments like this seriously and would encourage you to raise them with your Area Manager or HR so they can be fully reviewed and addressed. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
