One of the worst experiences of my career

Pros

Good benefits: company pays 100% of insurance premiums for full time employees and 75$% for qualified dependents; gym reimbursement; free lunch, and fully stocked kitchen.

Cons

I have never felt compelled to write a negative review of any employer, because I think its crappy to go negative on someone who paid your salary. It has been hearing all the painful stories from ex-coworkers that finally compelled me to put out a word of warning, in the interest of fairness, to anyone considering working here. I've never experienced a more miserable, unfulfilling and dissonant working situation in my life. There is this kind of insane distortion of reality that grinds on you. Low employee morale, zero training, direction and support, extremely high turnover rate, many employees left on their own, toxic and politics workplace environment. E-Staff hires ex-company employees and friends at the expense of more qualified talent.

In reading your feedback, it got me thinking about how to answer with valid data and evidence of change for the concerns you’ve raised. We ran the numbers on our openings for this year and found that we interviewed more than 23 candidates for each open position in the department you referenced. The numbers revealed that, if anything, we are too broad in our initial screen of candidates—attempting to prioritize experience, skills and talent over perceived favoritism. In addition to our candidate selection process, we utilize a cross-functional interview team to determine if there is a match for Illumio. commute hours are negotiable Benefits are good New building is comfortable

Cons

Non-professional conduct by some e-staff one way communication from the top down and lack of communication overall Poor performers are not exited out timely

In reading your review, I agree that there are always areas that can be improved. Your concern about how quickly we deal with people who are not performing is heard but we have to give people the opportunity to improve and change. That process takes some amount of time and a lot of hard work behind the scenes, which I can understand can be frustrating for other team members such as yourself. Pros

- Amazing Product that solves a major problem in the enterprise - Great team and collaboration. Everyone is willing to help anyway they can - The most impressive customer service organization I've interacted with. The focus on the customer being successful is priority #1 - Mgmt is open to ideas and encourage you to think outside the box - Fast growth organization with plenty of funding for success - The hiring process was the best I've ever experienced. Communicated well, formal process and always kept me in the loop throughout the entire process - Competitive Compensation Package - Exciting Opportunity

Cons

- With a new category / solution like illumio, finding the right marketing message is always a challenge with a company this stage. - Processes have been changing but that is expected with a company at this stage - There isn't a 401K match program yet

Wow, thank you very much for taking time to post your review and for this great feedback. I appreciate (and agree with) your advice on what it takes to build a great company -- hire great people, build a great product, take good care of your customers and partners, and execute well and consistently. I also appreciate your observation that in any new technology category finding the right message is an iterative process. That’s certainly true in our case. It seems to me we’re making good progress on that of late but please keep giving us input and feedback. Thanks!
