Pros

Company was lenient about taking time off for personal appointments, on several occasions parents or grandparents brought children to work with them when schools were closed, dress code was lenient, comfortable work environment for the most part. Great starting point for anyone wanting to work for the post office as several of our employees have gotten adequate training to get them hired at the post office at a significant pay hike.

Cons

Company does not follow through with raise schedules that are provided upon hire, hourly employees are not provided any type of health coverage, married couples working for company sometimes create uncomfortable atmosphere, at times it's like a soap opera in terms of the gossip mill. Starting pay rates are significantly lower unless you are part of upper management team.

Pros

Flexible work hours is pretty much it

Cons

- No loyalty. Doesn't matter how long you've been with the company or what you've given to them. You're just a cog in their machine - Very poor communication. Upper management and departments are constantly changing their minds. Endless, pointless meetings clog up the calendars of managers so they have no time for their teams. - Horrible benefits. High deductibles for health insurance at an affordable rate or pay out the a** for mediocre health insurance. - Below average pay and no room to advance. They assume you'll just adapt and sacrifice your sanity and work ethics for crumbs. - Misogynistic: if you're a female striving for a leadership position, you won't ever get it and will most likely be punished and pushed out for even asking. Even if you slightly step into a leadership position you'll promptly find yourself without responsibilities.
