Office Space: The squeal

Pros

Decent pay and PTO Depending on the department, you can work from home two or more days a week My coworkers were great and made my experience at InComm memorable Kind of bland; nothing ever really exciting... But honestly, for me personally, this was kind of a good thing for awhile

Cons

You are micro-managed to death "Do more with less" is the motto (read into that as you will) Each department has their own CRM program/method; which makes managing clients across multiple departments impossible It takes forever to get anything done; upper management is not open to streamlining - because, "this is the way we have always done it" A very REACTIVE (vs. Proactive) atmosphere They just laid off about 20-25% of the company due to 'COVID'

Going down hill, fast!

Pros

The people on my team were great. There were some good training tools available, as well as a management sills training program (if you could find the time to attend). Company benefits were above average with a good 401k match, too. 'Cupcake' day was a nice touch and the paid parking and the on-site gym were also a nice perks.

Cons

Things seemed to be getting better but in the last two years it's clearly started going down hill again. The on again, off again hiring freeze that occured the last two years was very challenging as we had a lot of turnover in my department; but senior leaders didn't seem to care. It was alwyas someone else's fault; in the end I decided to leave because I couldn't trust my boss. Priorities were always changing, so we couldn't get anything acomplished. One department had a project go on for years and never launched it. I think they finally just gave up. People who didn't do their jobs, but who were friends with a boss were not held accountable, so it made our jobs harder. We were never asked for input in solving problems.
