Pros

Sort of laidback. Can wear jeans. Good amount of PTO, even for new employees.

Cons

Constantly cutting the budget, making it hard to stay motivated. Pay is low for software industry; hard to get a raise. Culture is a thing they are trying to have but it isnt going well. Disorganized communication from senior leadership to rest of company. If you aren't in the Scottsdale office, you don't matter. Company feels like it is falling apart. Thinks it's a construction company, not a software company. Too much involvement from its parent company Kiewit.

Pros

Location, Flexible work arrangements, clear channels of communication, C-Level Accessibility. **I will qualify the following with the fact that I am remote, so I only spend about 20% of the time in the corporate office, but when I am there, I have yet to experience (first-hand or otherwise) any of the issues others would make seem prevalent. While I can't speak to the experience of others posting here, I can speak to my own; I've found everyone that I've worked with at this company to be very approachable and easy to work with, from C-Level through the newest hire. Coming up with ideas is easy, but investing the time and effort to nurture them, and see them through to their fruition is apparently not for everyone. The ideas I've presented at various levels have been well-received, and it most cases, implemented to some degree. That said, when I typically have an idea, I don't simply run to the appropriate party with it in its infancy, but rather invest my time and effort to flesh it out, and even go so far as to draft up how I might execute it. Responses to issues and questions are timely at all levels, and in general I feel that I am given all the resources I need to succeed in my role. The periodic town-hall meetings are not a "fluff piece" viewed through rose-colored lenses, but rather provide an open forum for those to present ideas, raise issues and concerns, and to provide clarity and communication of the company's path forward. Overall, I'd say the change in leadership HAS brought a laser-focus to the company, something it was lacking even a year ago, and am excited to grow alongside it. There is a clear structure in place, and many opportunities to provide input and guidance as it evolves from its fledgling state to a robust industry standard - IF you take the time that any good idea or thought requires to execute.

Cons

Apparently my colleagues would rather throw rocks in glass houses, than put their names behind their statements; only a coward hides behind an anonymous review on a Yelp-like site. Though social media gives everyone a voice (an, consequently, an over-inflated view of the actual value of that voice), not everyone is special, nor all ideas are good ones. Just because you were told "no" once, doesn't mean you don't have good ideas; spend some time and invest yourself into its development, half-baked ideas that get shot down are of no one's fault but the person who failed to stand behind their "good" idea to the extent that they actually developed it beyond the initial act of "creating" it.

Pros

N8 is evolving, and is in a state of rebirth, a sort of in with the new and out with the old. The new direction is good. . .

Cons

But with direction change comes great responsibilities to the customer, and a large group of clients fear that the H$ product has gone away. Recently I had heard that N8 released 5 employees over 50 on the same day. I left on my own accord.
