Pros

Our CEO has a vision for changing our industry. His passion for the company and our software is contagious. We have a passionate community of customers who love our software. The company is growing quickly, so there are a lot of opportunities to help solve new challenges. The company values promoting from within. I’ve been able to grow into several new positions during my time here. People care about the work they do. Work-life balance. Most people are out of the office by 5pm. Flexible start and end times.

Cons

We’re still a relatively young company that is still trying to figure some things out: this means that aspects of our operations sometimes feel disorganized. Management is uneven, divisions can have completely different approaches to employee development, reviews, retention, promotions, etc. Some HR policies are mysteriously rigid. Mandatory 1 hour lunches? What? Benefits are modest for a tech company. No 401k.

Pros

5 days of paid sick front-loaded per year. Great office, location and technology. Product is amazing. Commission available to most people on top of their regular pay.

Cons

Was forced to read an outdated office procedures book by L. Ron Hubbard the ENTIRE first day of my employment, cover to cover. It's a bit brainwash-like, especially because of what L. Rob Hubbard is known for. No room for growth, prehistoric processes, extremely repetitive workload and office politics are eventually what made me decide to leave. The people all act nice, but it is quite cutthroat! The finance department is very poorly managed. There are cliques going on everywhere, with favoritism and nepotism running high.

Pros

Excellent company to work for. Bleeding edge technology that is definitely a cut above the rest. Company culture is amazing. Inductive Automation has really been able to hire employees that work very well together regardless of the departments they work in. The company definitely knows how to take care of its employees and rewards hard work.

Cons

There really aren't any cons that I can think of. This being my first tech job in the civilian world I really cannot say anything bad.
