Pros

- The people at the plant level generally work together to get the job done. You will form a lot of comradery with your coworkers - Endless opportunities in operations/management if you are willing to move - Competitive 401k - Salary employees receive a 3rd week of vacation in their 3rd calendar year

Cons

- Be prepared for your role to expand over time. They are always looking for ways to save money. They will reduce headcount without a 2nd thought and give the existing work to the employees who remain - Your salary will not keep up with the increased responsibilities referenced in the point above - Everyone is expendable...even you - Equipment is old and proper maintenance money to replace or restore is lacking - Hourly ranks are always understaffed because they won't pay to compete with the oil refineries in the area

Pros

Good benefits, small company feel in a global organization

Cons

- Most early career employees leave before hitting three years due to the lack of development, coaching and growth opportunities. - Director and VP heavy organization so no roles in between early career and senior roles. -Very toxic culture where everyone is “out to get you” and trying to use you to climb the ladder. - If you are not a salesman, you will not succeed in this organization. - A lot of people quitting, leading to really spread thin and over worked employees. - Currently going through a “cost smart” initiative were leaders are using a lot of “operational excellence” language that translates into “re-structuring” of support functions.
