Pros

Great colleagues and interesting work in R&D.

Cons

Larger corporate structure. More meaningless work and overloaded. Less caring of employee and added BS objectives. Workload has doubled with no increase in resources. Yearly objectives keep changing and are 50% BS. Difficult to achieve higher performance ratings given the ridiculous objectives that are handed down by management.

Pros

Global exposure and ability to move through the company. There are opportunities to grow in the company and progress your career. This appears to be a good place to start your career to be able to move on to another company, as most of the more experienced employers have chosen as their option.

Cons

Lack of respect for experience, detached upper management. The new company is being lead by the National Starch group and they have very little respect for experience and will opt to hire new unproven PhD's to fill needs. The new group in Bridgewater spends about 90% of their time internally selling projects, very little new ideas. The general opinion of the employees is to pad their resume so they can move on to something else. Very little industry experience.

Pros

There might 5 good people left at the company

Cons

Ingredion sells its self as a place to be that has a good company culture but it is a hollow sell. Within the last year many good knowledgeable people, leaders in the industry have been let go ruthlessly. People with over 10, 15, 20 years experience who brought value and customers to ingredion just let go. Meanwhile the ceo gets an extension on staying - found a "loophole" in the company by laws to still stay as CEO as good people are being shown the door. REALLY???? I know people there who say its toxic there now and the people who were let go are the lucky ones. Thats sad from where Ingredion used to be 5-7 years ago.
