Pros

The coworkers are pleasant and easy to get along with. Great 401k if you can manage to stay employed long enough to make use of it. CEO seemed polite.

Cons

Management is dishonest and won't tell you if they are unhappy with something until they fire you. You have to provide a weekly report about what you worked on that makes you feel like your employers don't trust that you are getting your work done. Management is very rude when you have a serious issue with something, even if you are professional in expressing it. Any suggestions that you give makes management decide that you are automatically complaining about the work you are doing. It is clear that employees do not express any opinions due to fear of being fired or alienated. Management lets you go without any warning, after making you feel like they are happy with your work. They fire you the same day when they knew weeks ago that they were not going to keep you.

Pros

Good 401k. Great for first job and green developers. Not good match for mid level or higher professionals.

Cons

Pay, PTO, hours and benefits are not competitive with the area. You can easily make 60k more working in Charlottesville or working remotely. They also only start you with 7 days of PTO maxing you out at 15 days which is what most companies will start you at. They also require you to work 45-50 hours a week on site. Management is also horrible and micromanaged and refuses to empower employees. High turnover and burnout in department. The company also goes by “Safetyamp” which is the same as innovative.
