Confusing Venture Capital for success

Pros

Good people, low expectations, a "do what you want" company with money to throw around.

Cons

Severe technical issues (security, data integrity, scalability) and poor handling of mergers. The core system is extremely outdated (c2001) and maintenance has been negligent at best. Inntopia had no professional or qualified engineers until approximately 2015. The system needs at least 1-2 years of updates and rebuilds, but the current focus is on reselling the existing system to clients for whom it will fail. Very shortsighted.

Pros

The company is poised for incredible growth. It is fast paced, and there are a ton of opportunities to learn. People who are open to change, can adapt to new things, and are willing to learn will be successful. The culture is very fun and the people are very outdoorsy. The company is very open to new ideas and getting away from doing things the way they've been done.

Cons

It's very busy so being comfortable with a fast paced environment is important. People who are not open to learning and trying new things won't do well here.

Laid back, friendly atmosphere. Flexible work schedule. Innovative product in a fun industry. Good benefits package (vacation time, healthcare, etc). Good work/life balance.

Cons

Lots of growth means some growing pains - staffing levels don't always keep up with the workload. Limited work from home options.
