      Disrespectful to Clinical Staff

      Pros

      Most of the nurses and staff are very good at their jobs and leave because they are and are very marketable.

      Cons

      The leadership does not respect or appreciate the nursing staff or understand that patients are admitted for NURSING care. The doctors admit patients for NURSING care. They disrespect nursing and clinical staff and try to underpay them and then wonder why they cannot retain staff.

      Pros

      I used to be proud to be a part of a reputable system with a strong comunity focus. That has completely dissolved.

      Cons

      The greed and corruption within this system has taken over. All the executives are concerned about is making as much profit as possible to buy another facility or practice in their effort to monopolize northern virginia. This is at the expense of the safety of patients. They have made it a practice to only hire new graduate nurses or those with minimal experience and paay them rediculous salaries. We have also brought in "international nurses" that do not even speak english to save money. It is criminal! Please if you have a loved one in IFH bring an advocate. The safety of our community is absolutely not in the best hands there anymore

      Good place to get experience, but not a company you want to stay with

      Best patient population (lots of abnormal cases), don't have to pay for parking, WellAware program

      Cons

      Terrible annual raise (if any), no cost of living adjustments, no union, bad management - rarely do they listen to your suggestions for improvement, extremely short staffing makes a stressful environment for the team, PTO is restricted for 6 months out of the year, heavy favoritism, inconsistent start times for day shift, no career advancement opportunities, bad hospital culture
