Pros
Generally able to take time off with and without pay, no weekends or holidays, and good hours. The compensation is adequate but benefits are expensive. My co-workers are working for the good of the patient and do excellent work. Supervisors bring cookies or trinkets-which they don't get reimbursed for.
Cons
Supervisors have been beaten down and have become "yes men" and middle management have been driven away and not replaced. People continue to leave and are not replaced. Jobs are assured and then people are laid off. Staff are receiving disciplinary action despite being told the metrics are unrealistic. Morale is low and nurses feel very pressured to provide poor care. In the two years I have been with Inovalon, quality and actually taking care of the member has gotten worse.
