Pros

Lots of truly great people work here, until they find out how bad the place is and leave. Good salaries, but not good enough for the treatment you have to endure.

Cons

Archaic MD who is stuck in 1970’s when she was a classified salesperson in an underperforming team. The best of a bad bunch, she has bullied and threatened her way to the top, crushing and discrediting every good person who works for her. She is autocratic and a truly despicable boss (the words leader/director or manager do do apply here), who micromanaged everything and sucks the lifeblood out of the office which has not been decorated or cleaned since it opened in 1864. It is infested with mites, has no air con and all staff must wear a suit and tie even in 40 degree summer heat! There is no concern for health and safety, no care for employee wellbeing and no investment in people at all.

Pros

Good brand, decent pay and great staff. Some very skilled people work there.

Cons

Aggressive and secretive management team Dirty, grubby offices No rewards outside of the norm - dont expect any modern benefits No real investment in technology or smarter working Everything made difficult by poor, cheap systems of working No decision makers in the business outside of the MD- micro management is very much the order of the day No trust in staff - no mattter how long they have been there It operates like a business from 1987, with the addition of emails

Pros

The employees, despite everything, are a good hardworking bunch who refuse to be ground down and continue to give their best.

Cons

Company is run by an autocrat with dated methods, and an office to match. Senior staff are managers in title only, with no authority to make decisions, as micro-managing seems to be the order of the day. Even managers with years of experience cannot be left alone and trusted to do their jobs. Company 'promotions' are regularly little more than a change of job title. Staff are not trusted - the company is a closed book, with employees given little in the way of updates on the company or the direction it is taking, and ideas from staff generally overlooked or ignored. Personal development programmes are non-existent for the majority of staff.
