Pros

- fun environment; everyone is the same age - constant happy hours - red bull flip cup - interview is easy; as long as you're outgoing and likable you have a job - you make great friends - AFTER you're promoted, you have opportunity to make a lot of money depending.

Cons

- there's no growth; you're either an account manager or a recruiter; you might get 'lead' or 'senior' attached to your title but you're still doing the same job - management is only promoted from within; they never bring outsiders. That could be good for those who work hard and want to get promoted and gives them a better chance, but that also means the company is stale and you never get any new perspective. A lot of the upper management in corporate is also dominantly male frat bros - if you're not delivering results or hitting your number they force you to quit - it's all a numbers game. You're driven to the brinks to deliver numbers and follow a system but you're never acknowledged for the hard work you do - it's sales; honestly this should come as no surprise, where it's a numbers game, so what sets sales a part from everywhere else is the company and their values and insight global definitely falls short - sometimes I found management incompetent; yeah they had 'great' personalities, but they just didn't know how to be managers, had no strategy, no guidance, no mentorship - their main goal is to make sure no one quits so they don't lose their bonuses

Pros

Helped me find a future job by knowing exactly what recruiters are looking for. Key words for the roles I was looking for, updating my resume on career sites, and how to interview at other places by learning what hiring managers were looking for.

Cons

-salary is lower than Bay Area average for recruiters and AE’s -pay for your own parking -401k has lowest company match I have ever seen -health benefits have horrible benefits for high copays -pay for company parties out of pocket -pay for your own holiday parties and dates admittance -girls are expected to flirt with hiring managers when trying to build relationships and bring in job postings (reqs) -bad reputation among hiring pool and hiring managers -high turnover in 38 weeks of me being there 45 people quit........ more than 1 a week -work 11 plus hours a day from 7:30-6:30 and even to 8 pm to hit numbers. Won’t get paid overtime after 6 months. -get mad at you when you take time off with the tiny PTO you get a year. It’s about 5 days a year........ and you work thanksgiving eve and the day after thanksgiving. -make you work most holidays -average AE doesn’t start earning commission till a year and a half in the role. -micromanagement -poor training - to make over a 100k or more expect to be in the role close to 3 plus years. During that time period you will screw people over, underpay them, tell them that it’s contract plus extension even though you know damm well it’s only a 6 month role. -force you to post positive reviews if they see a negative review -look for all the negative reviews and don’t drink the koolaid (google that) YOU CAN DO AN SDR OR ANOTHER RECRUITER ROLE AT ANY OTHER COMPANY AND YOU WILL MAKE MORE MONEY AND ENJOY YOUR JOB MORE.

Pros

Free breakfast on Fridays Ability to interact with high level hiring managers Young and energetic office Some of the people you work with are genuinely good people Paid the bills while I found more career centric position

Cons

Highly unprofessional work environment with little to no diversity The amount of HR violations and straight up disrespectful things you hear on a daily basis in so damn high is insane All of the 5 star recruiter reviews are recruiters who recently started with the company are still caught up in the haze of a new job They expect you to work upwards of 10 hour days to hit your numbers on a salary that is straight up disrespectful to college graduates This is not what you got a bachelors degree for, it's all sorority and frat stars running the company The open office set up makes it hard to focus on getting real work done Constant micromanagement from every level of of the company, like having your boss question you about your work every other hour? Good you'll like it here. If you are competent and want career mobility, stay away from IG
