Pros

-You will make friends even if you watch them all quit due to unhappiness

Cons

I am quitting because I am looking for a career not just a pit stop along with bad timing. I had 5 different AMs in one year and watched over 40 people quit. Everyone (i mean everyone) lies about numbers because they are scared of management yelling at them because of their numbers. Reason to leave 1. compensation 2. because my new company has employees who have been with the company for 10+yrs and they make you feel like your own person rather than another number getting their first job out of college.

Pros

People you work with are young and fun. A few happy hours here and there. You can make a lot of money, which will be a combination of LOTS of hard work and some luck here and there.

Cons

Micromanagement, stressful environment. You are also being managed by someone who is your age (22-25) with no management experience and it shows.

Pros

- if you are willing to put in the work you can make incredible money at a young age (upwards of 200k) - you know exactly what you have to do to get promoted and there is a clear growth trajectory - the people are fun and cool you have instant friends - everyone starts as a recruiter so everyone who is high up has to do the grunt work first so management isn’t just telling you how to do your job based on speculations, it’s from experience - you can get promoted and make money pretty quickly - they recognize and celebrate amazing work and every accomplishment - great on the job training if you have a good account manager - extremely lucrative career path - clear expectations from management and corporate

Cons

- they do not give entry level recruiters the resources to source amazing IT professionals - these people are not on monster or careerbuilder anymore these are outdated search engines but the only tools recruiters are given - no CRM, just excel sheets and outlook - extremely outdated for a company that sources IT professionals - no sales development team or lead qualifying - no admins so recruiters assume the role of SDRs and admins - as with most entry level jobs, day to day is extremely robotic - the base salary for recruiters is not great (45k in Some bigger cities 35k everywhere else) and no commission until you are promoted - if you have a bad account manager, it can really ruin your experience. This is not common but some account managers lie about activity and lack transparency - office politics, extreme competition - insight global chooses attractive, extroverted former Greek life presidents and college sports captains. Even if this is you the competitive nature and combination of so many big personalities in a 50-80 person office space can be socially draining, intimidating, exhausting, and drama-inducing
