First, a great portion of the positive reviews on here are staged reviews (each month a handful of employees from different offices are involuntarily required to write a positive post of Glassdoor, screenshot their submission, and send it in to meet a quota of positive posts and outweigh the negative. I believe this is absolutely absurd as it gives people (like me who reads reviews of here for true insight into a company before accepting a role) false information. Second, when you are contacted by the corporate recruiters, you are told it is for an account management role but what you aren’t role is you start as a recruiter and can take months if not up to a year to reach an account manager role and that is if you decide to stick it out and cold call more than you can imagine. Management gives you the impression that if you hit a specific quota of numbers you will be promoted to an AM but I promise you it IS a popularity contest. I have witnessed many people work harder than anyone in the office to get promoted and get passed up because they are not as favored in the office. Third, this company is solely based on looks (you will not get hired if you don’t have the “Insight Global appearance and personality (attractive and willing to party at any given moment). The only questions you are asked in the interview are revolved around your social status. Fourth, I promise, you WILL be judged based off your daily appearance (especially as a female); you are required to wear heels everyday, don’t wear clothes that don’t compliment your body, don’t ever wear braids in your hair and make sure you’re looking like an uptown Barbie at all times or you will be called out. And finally (I could continue to go on but I assume you’ll stop reading), this IS a high school environment, the drama is always present, someone will always talk behind your back, it is a popularity and Beauty contest, and always have an office presence with everyone or you will not go far. I hope this helps some of you make a decision and help others from making the same mistake as I did by accepting this role. I was excited that this was the first offer I received out of college and it’s because they snatch you up (some before you’re even out of school so that you can’t see what else is out there). Think carefully before you make your decision. I wish I did.

Takes over 5 months to even be eligible for commission while the base pay is basically unlivable in Chicago, very micromanaging and the feedback is pretty brutal/constant. The feedback feels like it’s from a place of judgement, rather than care and everyone talks about your performance behind your back. When you do well you get a lot of public verbal praise, probably because you’re making no money and it’s something free they can do. When you aren’t well it’s a great way to make you feel bad/ make you feel like you “just aren’t trying hard enough.” At the end of the day you are overworked, under paid, over critiqued and too physically and mentally exhausted to do anything outside of work. They offer free therapy and the waiting list is months long- I have yet to meet anyone who hasn’t developed severe anxiety while working here. It is a pyramid scheme built on fear and the glimpse of hope that you can see from the high ups making money while you are making peanuts. Oh and when you go to trainings at their headquarters you are given a ROOMMATE. (Is that even legal?) Grown adults bunking up like summer camp so that the company can save money on top of how much they work you and how little they pay you.
