Pros

Even in the midst of a lot of transformation, this is a company that values leadership, engagement and collaboration. I've been part of the organization for nearly five years -- that's the longest I've worked for one company in my career. I'm grateful to be here as a part of the team that has helped drive the change and for the many opportunities for professional development that I've benefited from. From growing in my role and responsibilities to formal leadership training, I have gained so much as a part of my Insight experience so far. Whenever I'm asked what I like the most about working here, the answer is always the people. I am surrounded by great leaders and thinkers at all levels. People really do care about one another, and are invested in being successful together. I have been in plenty of scenarios where the opposite is true, so this part of the culture means a lot to me. For the marketing team, I really credit the VP who has come in to make changes in the past three years. She has a really clear vision for the team and definitely cares about teammates personally and professionally. This is a very fast-paced environment, and I personally appreciate it. Although this could maybe also be in the cons for some... not everyone thrives with such rapid change and the required agility. I'm very proud to work with this team and be a part of the results we're creating.

Cons

I'm not crazy about the offerings in the cafe. The 2pm closing time keeps getting earlier and earlier... More healthy pre-packed offerings would be helpful and a self check out so you don't have to wait would be good. Benefits coverage is really very decent with some good perks included, but the main insurance provider system is slow, and it takes a lot of work and organization to stay on top of that information.

We love this type of feedback. Thank you for recognizing our great leadership, your teammates and culture. Regarding the cafe, this is good feedback and we will make sure this gets to the appropriate party. For the benefits, we will also take this up the chain and hopefully get this fixed. Thank you for all you do at Insight!

Cut-throat right down to the core... Overworked and under paid.

Pros

The only pros was before a certain manager arrived at the center and everyone called him GOD! Who ruined all good and declared war on old employees. Initials are DM.

Cons

This can get tiring real quick... where do I begin? 1 client, 1 issue at a time was the daily routine and benefits wasn't bad, no HR person to help you fill out your initial forms at your first day working there. Then the center changed to supporting 10+ clients and a demand to know everything about procedures without proper training. Even the veteran managers had to bow to these new managers who changed the center around, forcing employees to work shifts they couldn't. Mandatory shift change was the worse as it forced people to quit so they could hire new people and save $$. This is wrong, all of it was wrong!! Everything for the dollar and nothing for 'caring' for other people... to your employees which have been around longer than any new manager that know more. There were so many problems that happened... so many mistakes the 'Micro-Managers' did.. 4 managers demanding calls were taken NOW and refused to take them when clients were needing help... that is wrong. Being written up with a policy that was 'JUST' made and not told to the employees first! More care went into the managers benefits, bonuses and kick-backs than it did to the employees... the slaves. One manager did so much damage I guess they later found out she had lied about everything on her resume and was let go... my first thought was... shouldn't better/proper back ground checks have been done correctly for this to have never happened? HR was soo much wrapped around new managers fingers that they could do anything they wanted... illegally and get away with it. I'd rather be living on the streets than ever go back to them again!! My advice for a new hire is to please keep looking for another job than Insight! This is NOT what you want in a caring company. They would let more advancements to go to the single people and not the employees with families. Discrimination was a serious word to them and would do anything they felt like doing to control the employees. It's sure really sad that I was FORCED to quit without any options... once this new manager came in and declared marshal law upon the old employees I knew I had to leave and would not take anymore of abuse. No one standing up for what was right and true.

Avoid unless you thrive in cut-throat consulting

Pros

Before the current president, I had learned a ton, got to lead some teams and had a general good experience

Cons

Since the new president started - You will be expected to hold a high utilization every quarter or you will be let go. They've laid off people every quarter for the past 3 quarters. While in consulting services, you have almost no control over your utilization. You can ask your manager to be put on a project, but if it's full, or there are no projects that fit...you're out of luck. - Culture is broken, many people in consulting services are looking to leave because of the shift in focus from helping clients to overbilling clients. - They only want to work with large clients. They have terminated contracts with clients that had steady work because the client "isn't big enough". - There are big shake up happening in executive leadership and management. Lots of people leaving.
