Thank you very much for giving Insight a 5 star review! We are so happy to hear that you enjoy working in a positive and supportive environment. The values and culture at Insight are contagious so thank you for recognizing that as well. Insight just launched an employee stock option purchase program so that is available to those teammates who are interested.

Pros

Working in this industry for 10+ years, it was very refreshing coming into a new working environment and have a truly welcoming culture. While it takes time to build strong relationships, the amount of teammates that have made an effort to create positive interactions with me have made Insight a very comfortable organization to integrate into.

Cons

- a lot of "status quo" decision-making - too much energy from management applied to activities that aren't revenue producing - some apathy toward new (to Insight) ideas

Pros

Middle management always seem to care about their reports and support them when needed. Projects were interesting and provided opportunities to travel to interesting places. PTO was pretty flexible and accepted when needed. It was unlimited when I was there but I’ve heard that’s no longer.

Cons

Management will make you feel valued and then throw you under (or off) the bus when they screw up. Changes to sales processes and commissions have a waterfall effect on delivery positions requiring layoffs when there is no work. Annual raises are minimum and don’t even cover cost of living increases for more entry level positions (unsure about high positions but I’m sure they got hefty raises and bonuses); it’s always been this way. Bonuses are based on utilization which you have basically no control over. New hires out of college get paid more than employees with experience and years-long loyalty to the company but they don’t give it back. Things really started to change when the entire company was restructured a few years back. It went down hill from there. To this day I wonder if they regret making those decisions which led to millions of dollars in lost revenue and the departure/lay off of dozens of key and previously-loyal employees. Before I was laid off, there were notices of goals to have a workforce majority made up of employees from India (cheap labor). We all hoped that meant the majority of new hires would come from overseas but now see it just means we were getting replaced. When you go above and beyond, you rarely feel appreciated. I regret putting in years of dedication at Insight, passing up better opportunities, just to be let go when things got tough.
