Pros

Insight has a wonderful Senior Leadership team, lead by Ken Lamneck and Steve Dodenhoff. They have chartered an amazing course for this business. As a sales leader, capabilities and partnerships are core to being successful in the marketplace. Insight's capabilities, especially Globally and around the App Dev space, has completely outflanked our competitors. I thank Ken and Steve for that. Another pro of Insight is the culture. Hunger, heart and harmony are our core beliefs, and we really treat everyone with great respect. We are a proud, public, Fortune 500 organization and to climb those ranks you need to operate with integrity every step of the way.

Cons

Really nothing negative to say. 16 years of my life invested in Insight and it's never been cooler to work here.

Pros

Mid-level and Executive Management are hands-off as long as you are performing above average. Must be self-driven and have the ability to travel and work from home. Most people in my position do not need to be micro-managed as we are all self-driven and coin-operated.

Cons

Compared to competition: Commission percentage is in line with competition IF you exceed quota , BUT considerably lower if you do not hit quota. Sliding payscale based on quota. Management applies annual quota increase even if you closed one time larger deals in prior year (Example: close $10M 3-Year Oracle deal in 2016, but 2017 quota is $10M++ makes no sense and is not fair)

Pros

Fantastic work culture. Very fun, young, modern, and always training you on the latest and greatest enterprise technology. The people and most managers are really great & are willing to help you succeed as best they can.

Cons

As an I.T. reseller people expect to be able to purchase all manufacturers through you. This site in Conway has a unique contract with HPE so you don't get credit for anything you sell that is a direct competitor (Dell, Lenovo, Cisco, etc.). As a new employee in June 2016 I was expected to be ramped up to a big time seller in a year, which is very difficult when you are given all white space accounts and have a limit as to what you can sell.
