Pros
If you're a delivery driver (at at he store I was at) it was pretty laid back. When we didn't have deliveries we would mess around on our laptops, catch up on homework for those who were in college, or talk amongst ourselves.
Cons
Where do I start... The manager was awful. She didn't have any regard for employees wellbeing. If someon called in for a completely valid reason such as vomiting (its against healthcode for an employee to even be in the store if they are vomiting), or their car breaking down and having no transportation, or a family emergency she would cut their hours by a hefty amount and ask them constantly if they were going to show up for their shifts. She played favorites and when the RM would come to check on the store she would make sure she was there so we couldn't report her for anything, and there was a LOT that we could have reported. The hours were very late. I was working on the 4th of July and there was a shooting and we closed the store early because it was literally right outside (one of the shft managers had to srub blood off of the building the next day) and she had little to no concern for the employees that were around to whitness it. Now down to the most annoying part of all of this. The taxes. If you work in-store you have nothing to worry about, but if you're a driver, they aren't going to tax your paychecks, which means that when you file your tax return, you will owe quite a bit of money. I was going to recieve about $600 on my return, but the second I hit submit on my Insomnia Cookies W2 my fed went down to $74, and my state said I owed almost $400. They also don't give breaks at all. I didn't see drivers or shift leads take a break a single time I was there, (I didn't get one either) and that was across the span of 6 months or so. They don't have an HR department either. There was no way for an employee to report any sort of harassment or issue other than to the manager, and when the manager was the issue they had to either deal with it or quit. We had 16 people quit in 2 months because fo the manager at that store. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST.
