Pros

Remote positions Great team dynamics

Cons

Low pay High call volumes across the departments Constant Micromanagement Management monitors your screen throughout the day. You can't even take a 5 minute break without someone already reaching out to you asking why are you offline Lack of training. They want you to assist the clients on the phone however, you are not well-trained to help them therefore you tend to transfer them to a different department. Aggressive customers-The firms charges clients high fees but the customers take it out on you. This job is not for you if you don't want to be on the phone constantly.

Getting there

Pros

Communication from senior leadership is getting much more consistent. The executive leadership team has done a good job in prioritizing work across the organization so work streams aren’t getting crossed, and we’re not duplicating efforts which was sometimes the case through all the acquisitions.

Cons

Two glaring cons. First are legacy people who have worked in their jobs either here for too long or from an acquisition who can’t figure out how to change as the company grows. They can’t get on board with future plans or ways to upgrade the team, process or company overall annd everything to these people seems like the world is ending and the negativity gets toxic for those of us who are here to help make the change. The second con is around senior directors and managing directors who act like they can’t do anything without permission from their boss or someone on the executive team. Every time I ask why we can or can’t do something they try to blame someone higher up and act like they can’t do anything when in reality they’re paid top dollar to figure this stuff out for us.
