Chaos at its finest, dumpster fire really

Pros

SOME great, dedicated, hardworking people that care about the customers, products and patients who these products are being used on. Good products. Free bagels

Cons

Those great employees will never be recognized for what they’ve done. Those that go over and beyond are just expected to do more without promotion or pay increase. Those who do bare minimum, are buddy buddy with Sr managers and blow lots of smoke will be promoted in to position that are way over their heads, far from deserving and when they fail or cannot handle the job then excuses will be made as to why they’ll be kept in the position. If a manager or supervisor cannot step in for any of their direct reports and be able to do anything and everything their group is responsible for then they should NOT be in the position, it’s that simple. This shouldn’t be an issue but it is a giant one across the company. A colleague/customer/field support should never hear “well so and so is out today so I don’t know”. Also, they’ll keep useless/problematic employees around as its easier to have a warm body there to tick off customers, create delays/problems and messes for others to clean up then to actually deal with the issues at hand with the employee. Again, goes back to poor management. most don’t want to deal with documenting and actually having to manage properly or waiting the time to interview until the right candidate is found, a warm body is better then No body at Integra. Although it’s been said the Ohio plant is the center of “Excellence” or main US production facility for Integra it really needs a good hard look out there because it’s a dumpster fire on all levels, all positions, all departments. No one takes responsibility or accountability for anything, always trying to push a need/task off to someone else or “will set up a meeting for the issue”. Nothing will come out of said meeting and when you contact that person who was thrown under the bus you find out they’ve been let go or quit. Sr management works harder at covering up a quality/product/process issue then to admit a bad decision was made or the fact they have incompetency in the manager/department below them them they’ll work to resolve the issue and fix the issue correctly. They would rather layoff the good employees to outsource the work to third parties to save a buck

Pros

Initial decent compensation and many promised (but not carried out) opportunities

Cons

Poor leadership, bullying, incompetent middle managers, redundancy, lack of transparency. You are encouraged to be quiet and not suggest improvements. There is no clear lines of responsibility even when outlined in your goals and objectives or job description - this creates conflict and lack of connectivity. I was literally told to "fly under the radar" in order to keep my job. Those that have ideas and want to execute are threatening. Apparently only a chosen few can have opinions and drive.

Made for underachievers

Pros

1. The company is growing 2. It’s generous to the staff with complimentary coffee and other treats 3. Striving for diversity in some areas 4. Great communication between global locations

Cons

1. Compensation for some professional level roles is insulting. This is especially true for the Marketing department 2. The company seeks out highly competitive and accomplished individuals but then puts them in rooms with idiots who can’t grasp on to their ideas or concerns 3. A lot of meetings don’t turn into to anything actionable or tangible 4. If you work here, you might be managed by someone who should be your employee. They promote people who talk the most in meetings and write the most emails, regardless of whether they ever say anything valuable instead of those who actually get things done 5. Everyone is leaving the company and that’s not a good sign 6. No men of color in leadership roles 7. Everything with the company is about the bottom line 8. Not a green company or even striving to be one
